Born Kristin Forbes, Lady Hatchet earned her nom de guerre while cutting her guitar chops in the Baltimore/DC reggae scene. She is a musical force of nature, fearlessly leading her punky reggae crew, The Scotch Bonnets, holding down bass for the rock n’ roll power trio of her sister-in-arms, Olivia Mancini & The Mates, and switching instruments as needed for Baltimore’s premiere ska/reggae band, The Players. Lady Hatchet is a musical utility infielder in high demand, having subbed with some of the best bands in the game: on guitar with The Slackers, bass with The Toasters, and even keys with The Pietasters. With The Scotch Bonnets, she backed HR of Bad Brains and Roddy Radiation, founding lead guitarist of The Specials. Kristin also teaches private music lessons throughout the DMV and is proud to have forged a career as a working musician. She is grateful and excited to bring the weight of her being to The Strykers Posse!
